Although at the beginning of our planning phases we were driving straight through, our final itinerary had us at a hotel for roughly 4-5 hours before picking up Elizabeth in Orlando's Downtown Disney. Courtney & Allison's parents were pretty nervous for having us drive straight through to Orlando from NW Ohio on our first big trip. In hindsight, we were all pretty happy that they had requested and booked us a hotel, as 21 hours in had us all running on empty. From our home in NW Ohio, it would have taken 16 hours non-stop to arrive, so add in our Nashville & Atlanta breaks, almost a day straight of driving was pretty exhausting. We pulled into a hotel a few hours shy of Orlando for a quick nap before hitting the road once more. Bleary eyed and tired, though thankful for the sleep we did get, we stopped for breakfast at Keke's Breakfast Cafe in Orlando before heading to Downtown Disney in Orlando, Florida. If you're looking for a delicious breakfast spot in Florida, Keke's currently has 46 locations and more on the way! Keke's was a quaint breakfast spot with delicious food, great pricing and friendly service. I definitely a recommend if you're visiting the sunshine state!
Though Courtney & Allison traveled from Ohio with me, Elizabeth's family was already in Florida on their family vacation, so we had planned to meet her family at Downtown Disney before heading to the cruise terminal. We spent an hour or so browsing through a few of the shops that Downtown Disney has to offer before grabbing Elizabeth's stuff and hitting the road for a short hour before finally pulling into Port Canaveral's cruise Terminal to find our home for the next few days: The Carnival Liberty. The Liberty was a sight to behold at 952' in length and a capacity of over 4,00 (1,160 crew and almost 3,000 guests )and to us first time cruisers, seemed larger than life. With luggage and paperwork in hand, we left the parking garage and walked towards our floating hotel for the next three days.
WOW look like you had a great time
